I am always looking for fresh ideas about how to continue to make disciples.  It’s the hardest challenge of a pastor, but one of the final commands Jesus gave.  It seems like everybody and their friend has an idea about how to build disciples.  This package delivered by this book organizes content into a practical way.  While it doesn’t necessarily add much “fresh content” to the discussion, it does organize great material into a practical way.

I really like this book.  The main idea about how discipleship should be done was summed up by the author by LOLMD, or Life on Life Missional Discipleship.  LOLMD fills three aspects that discipleship needs to cover.  First, getting people saved.  All discipleship starts with people entering into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Second, it needs to help the believer become more mature.  Finally, moving from a place of maturity to leadership is how the LOLMD model ends.

The points made in the text explaining and supporting this method was easy to follow.  The author makes a compelling case for this being the best way to make disciples, while also covering many other methods and their faults.  I’d recommend this book as a great read for someone looking to expand how they build disciples.
