This book is exactly what the title says it will be about. It answers the question of who is Jesus by giving six different answers. Jesus is Your Friend, Grace, the Point, Happy, Here, and Alive. Each chapter makes several points that support why Jesus Is whatever that chapter is claiming.

I really liked Jesus Is_____. I read several negative reviews from people who didn’t like it, but I think author and pastor Judah Smith wrote in the introduction that his style wouldn’t be like the typical book. Many of the negative reviews seemed to be written by people who are exactly like what the book tells us not to be: really religious people.
Judah Smith writes with a very conversational style that I found to be a nice change from the typical book. If I was sitting on a couch discussing Jesus Is ___ with him, I feel like the book would be that conversation. He uses some cultural references that religious people may not like, but it brings a contemporary look at what the Bible stories might have been like in today’s context.
I strongly recommend it to Christians and non-Christians alike to read and see who Jesus Is.
