I like the NIV translation of the Bible, but this was maybe the most disappointed I have ever been with a bible. Maybe my expectation was way off, but when I saw the title I was excited for a Bible filled with easy notes, fun facts throughout as I read, and some informative book intros. Instead, the only notes are to introduce each book of the bible. The “fast facts” are certainly fast in that it’s one page, with graphics and bullets, of information that is fairly common. Even writing this review now makes me disappointed because I really wanted this bible to deliver on some facts throughout the text while I read.

I don’t know if I have ever given a 1 star review before, but if you’re looking for a new Bible this is one to pass on. For the same price you can find Bibles filled with a lot of great commentary and info that this simply doesn’t deliver on.
