Let me start off by confessing that I am a Dave Ramsey Kool-Aid drinker, and our family is debt free. So prepare for a rose colored lens when reading this review.
Smart Money Smart kids is a great resource for parents. What I love about the typical Ramsey book is that not only does he give sound advice, he gives extremely practical easy to follow instructions for how to implement whatever system he is teaching. Smart Money Smart Kids follows this very successful model.
The premise of this book actually follows the Dave Ramsey kid kit from Financial Peace junior. “Spend, save, give” is the model given for how to teach your kids about their money. From the personal anecdotes, to other engaging illustrations backed by years upon years of experience (both in the financial counseling and radio world, as well as actually raising/being raised by Ramsey) this book is a winner. After you read this, do yourself a favor and get Total Money Makeover and get yourself out of debt.
