Proclaiming God’s truth.  Today’s theme was not being silent, even in the face of fear or persecution.  Many of the days in the journal are challenging, but this one specifically was more of an encouragement to go forth and share the awesome news about Jesus.  Silently watching, serving, and meeting people’s basic needs are not good enough if it ends there.  People need to hear about Jesus, and be confronted with the reality that they need his life changing forgiveness.  My favorite part was that you need to check your pulse if you aren’t ever scared.  As a christian there should be times when you are nervous about sharing with someone.  Scared to step out and do what God is asking.  But the grace of God will carry us through anything He has set before us to do!  So like we teach our students: Do it afraid!  Tell people about Jesus, scared or not.
