No cape required is a devotional covering 52 ways to unleash your inner superhero. I really like the concept of the idea this devotional comes from, but I think it probably misses the mark just a little. From using a pretty large range of “superheros”, the author does cover a vast array of qualities the every day super hero should have.

I always read something with the idea that it starts at 5 stars. This one dropped a little for me simply because while the idea is a great one, short devotionals make it incredibly difficult to really develop each thought. I think there is simply too much width, and too little depth. The devotional is a good one, and I definitely think there are parts that are valuable, and will inspire, but I simply like a little more out of a devotional. It is an easy read, it is a very manageable and simple to grab the principle illustrated by each character/superhero. You won’t be disappointed if you buy and read this, I think there are better options for what I’m looking for in my life.
